Host: WTCH, that is Glen Campbell and Southern Nights. Thanks for joining us. Now, I hope you join them tonight and we’ve been talking about this for days now, but hypnotist Mark Patrick is going to be in town coming up tonight Borders Inn & Suites Hotel here in Shawano and we got Mark on the phone with us right now. Good morning, Mark. How are you?

Mark: Good morning, thanks for having me on.

Host: Well, I got a few questions to ask you. Of course, tonight a big night. You’ve got two –again, you’re calling them seminars. Two seminars tonight and we’re going to talk more in depth, but one is a lose weight, the other one is stop smoking. Correct?

Mark: That’s correct. Those are the number one and number two resolutions each and every year. So, we’re going to be doing both of those.

Host: Question now. You’re a hypnotist and hypnosis, is that going to be a part of the seminars tonight?

Mark: We’re going to use hypnosis as a tool that’s correct to help people get control over those two behaviors and we’re going to be doing that tonight in our seminar. That’s correct.

Host: And I think that is one thing that you really emphasize Mark is the fact that –empowerment, that you’re going to willpower you to stop some of these things, correct?

Mark: Yeah. Absolutely. I think the biggest misconception of hypnosis and what people might be scared is you know, they’re going to bark or cluck or do crazy, silly things and hypnosis is the most natural experience and people actually love it after they experience it. We do it all the time. We drive, we go into hypnosis, before we go to sleep, when we wake up in the morning we’re in a hypnotic state. We don’t call it that, but it’s actually an alpha state of brain activity. So, all we’re going to do is get people back into these wonderful receptive states so they can start working on the behaviors they want to do in the first place which becoming a lifelong nonsmoker after struggling with it for many years. Or getting that weight off and having a healthier lifestyle.

Host: And Mark, who should attend tonight?

Mark: Well, if you are a person who is a chronic dieter, who has been on a zillion diets and you always do this, you lose weight, you get results and for some reason you always gain the weight back, you should attend. They walk of the their hypnosis session respectively whether it’s weight loss or stop smoking, instead of feeling like they have to do all the different behaviors like have to stop smoking, have to think about not wanting cigarettes, they’re going to want to be a nonsmoker. We’re going to work on their images. So, we’re going to give them a healthy, slimmer person image which attracts habits automatically. I wish I could explain it in three seconds, but your image is the most important thing and then, we’re going to work with the smokers and create a nonsmoker image. Nonsmokers don’t think about cigarettes. They don’t have to use willpower. They just automatically don’t want to smoke. They could have their cup of coffee and do all those other fun things that they used to do as a smoker, but now they do it as a in control healthy nonsmoker.
